Quilt Petite Blog Hop

I am super excited to share what I have made from  Sedef's new book called  "Quilt Petite"  published by Tuva Publishing.

This book is filled with charming, whimsical and quaint projects that are perfect for homemade gifts or for decorating your home. *** Sedef has added details of care and love to each page of  "Quilt Petite"

I used "On Trend" fabric designed by Jen Allyson  for Riley Blake Designs.

I chose to make the Hexie Doll Quilt on page 35. The first thing I needed to do was prepare the  (39) 1 1/2" hexies for paper piecing.

I had fun deciding which prints to fussy cut for the hexies.

Sedef has you hand-quilt around each hexie... which gives this project the charming handmade touch.

I used Shari's Binding Babies to keep my binding organized and cute while I finished my hand sewing.  You can find more information about these here. I named my cute babies Thelma and Louise.

I LOVE how this Hexie Doll Quiltturned out!!!  I

Road Trip Blog Tour

It's time for the Road Trip Blog Tour
with Kelly Panacci
for Riley Blake Designs!!!

Kelly Panacci's grandson could not be any
cuter in his owl knitted hat
set against a camping background.
If you would like to see more of
Kelly's inspiration for this
cute camping line
please check out her website here
to read her story!

The colors and prints in this Road Trip Fabric
are rich and wonderful!
Rich greens, blues and reds with a pop of aqua
bring all the cute campers and animals to life!!!

Kelly challenged us all to come up with something
that we would take along on a road trip.
Of course, I can't go any where without a bag.
(LOL... so far everyone on the blog tour has needed a bag)
***
I first made a bag with 2 1/2" squares
so I could show off all the cute designs that Kelly created.
I was able to fussy cut the small prints for each 2 1/2" square.
Each square was sewn together into
rows of 5 across and 10 down.
I quilted the squares 1/4" inside the
seam on my sewing …

Doll Fabric Blog Tour

Doll Fabric designed by See Kate Sew for  Riley Blake Designs
The ever so talented Kate from See Kate Sew has  designed this very cute panel  which includes a girl doll and a boy doll  with a few fun accessories.

I loved how easy the instructions were and  how simple the panel was to sew. The hardest part was stuffing them...  FYI if you put a good movie on... you can get everything stuffed very quickly.

The dolls have an extra large head with a skinny body  which makes it so easy for children to hold on to.

The clothing is already printed on the panels.  The only separate piece of clothing  to sew is the little girls skirt and hair bows.

Look how cute the boy doll is!!!

The ice-cream cone is one of the fun accessories!

The panel and all the coordinating pieces can be found  hereat Riley Blake Designs.
Thanks for stopping by to see these  adorable fabric dolls by Kate. You can purchase this cute panel  and other coordinating fabrics  at your favorite fabric shop.
Happy Sewing!!!

I Love the bright yellows, hot pinks, vibrant reds,  calming aquas and warm oranges with a hint of green. They are yummy and inspire one to create!!!

It was so hard to choose a project but  Shari requested something very girly. As you know I Love everything about girls and  especially pretty things that girls wear!
The triangle pouch above was inspired by a spoonful of sugar  and you can find their tutorial here. I made this cute triangle pouch for "lala's" lipstick.

This is the "Sunny Dress" pattern by my  pattern company called Butterfly Kisses which you can find here. I Love this pattern because it can  showcase many colors and prints from the  Wistful Winds  fabric collection.

When I designed this pinafore pattern many years ago  I needed something that would showcase a variety of fabrics. This pattern worked perfectl…
